Ron Gilbert, legend, and the man who played a major role on the creation of the much-loved Monkey Island series, has returned to the adventure game world.
He's been brought in to work on Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, an episodic adventure series based on the Penny Arcade comics which is being developed at Hothead Games.
"I have been a fan of Penny Arcade because I have always found their comic so funny and biting," said Gilbert. "When I first heard they were making a game and that they had chosen to weave adventure game elements into it, I knew immediately I wanted to be involved. Working with the Penny Arcade guys and the team at Hothead has been an absolute riot."
Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode One will release for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux platforms via download. There's no release date for Episode One yet.
