Start your own doomsday cult and recruit followers with up to three friends in darkly comedic JOIN US
A PS5 release for March 2027 was announced at the Future Games Show, alongside the previously confirmed PC and XSX versions
We have good news and bad to lay on you - the Apocalypse is coming and Planet Earth will be reborn, however a new cult is starting which offers you the best chance of survival. The latest trailer for JOIN US shown during the Future Games Show at gamescom, which confirms PlayStation 5 has been added to the release formats, is presented as a tongue-in-cheek nod to 1950s PSAs about the dangers of cults and instructs players to stay away.
Of course, this is merely playing into the humorous nature of the game, so don't heed those warnings or you'll be missing out. In JOIN US you build your cult up from scratch, recruiting followers from the local area and constructing your compound to meet their needs. You can craft your ideology using the unique belief system, worshipping anything from UFOs or Cthulhu-esque creatures to outright cannibalism - though once a belief is embedded with your followers you'll have to live with the consequences.
As your flock grows you need to assign your followers roles to get the best out of their strengths, or you can play as them to take on certain task and enlist them to support you on missions. While you can lead on your own, you can also work co-operatively with up to three friends to build your paradise together - and you may need their help when locals, police, and even the government start intervening to try and end your cult by force.
JOIN US is coming to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X in March 2027, so until then you can wishlist it on Steam, follow the developer on TikTok and Instagram, or join the official Discord to keep up to date with the latest teachings from the scriptures.
