Rhythm Heaven Groove was unveiled way back during a March 2025 Nintendo Direct, just before the launch of the highly anticipated Switch 2. While attention quickly shifted to the new shiny bit of tech, the dedicated Rhythm Heaven fandom was left in the lurch. But their patience has finally been rewarded as Rhythm Heaven Groove is finally on its way.
Also known as 'Rhythm Paradise Groove' in the UK and Europe, the latest installment in the music rhythm mini-game series is available to pre-order for $39.99 (Best Buy) / £32.95 (TheGameCollection). Fans had to wait 10 years for the next installment in the series, and many months after its initial reveal in a Nintendo Direct for any news. But now the wait is almost up as the game is set to launch on July 2, 2026.
There's no pre-order bonus with this upcoming release, and no Nintendo Switch 2 version either. However, that means there are no game-key cards to put up with, as the full game is available on a single Nintendo Switch cart that'll work just fine on both handhelds. Physical copies are just $39.99 / £32.99 too, and I've gathered all the best US and UK links where you can grab your copy in time for a summer of music rhythm fun.
Rhythm Heaven Groove US pre-orders
Rhythm Heaven Groove | $39.99 at Best Buy
Best Buy was one of the first US retailers to stock its physical Nintendo Switch copies of Rhythm Heaven Groove. While Best Buy is pretty good for shipping games on release day, do beware that there's a chance the Switch game could arrive after July 2.
Rhythm Heaven Groove | $39.99 at Nintendo
Nintendo was first to drop both the digital and physical copies of Rhythm Heaven Groove, both with the same $39.99 MSRP. There are no pre-order gifts this time around, but you will get the game shipped in a fancy Nintendo-branded box, which is still pretty neat.
Rhythm Heaven Groove | $39.99 at GameStop
If you like to keep it old-school and get your pre-orders at GameStop, the US retailer has Rhythm Heaven Groove copies available for its full MSRP. It can take 2-3 days to ship, according to the product page, so you might need to shop elsewhere if you want to play it from day one.
Rhythm Heaven Groove | Check stock at Amazon
Amazon US has yet to drop its Rhythm Heaven Groove pre-orders, and searching for the game will just bring up a selection of music releases instead. It typically takes a few days for Amazon to list new Switch and Switch 2 games, so this isn't too much of a surprise.
Rhythm Paradise Groove UK pre-orders
Rhythm Paradise Groove | £32.95 at TheGameCollection
TheGameCollection is one of the only places where you can currently pre-order a copy of Rhythm Paradise Groove. While UK Rhythm Paradise fans are left with many options, it is a few pennies cheaper at the UK retailer, and you can take advantage of the site's free UK shipping to boot.
Rhythm Paradise Groove | £33.99 at Nintendo
Nintendo was first to drop its Rhythm Paradise Groove pre-orders. But while the UK Nintendo store is typically awash with free pre-order gifts, there's no such thing available this time around. You can at least grab a physical copy of the game for its full £33.99 and not a penny over.
Rhythm Paradise Groove | Check stock at Amazon
Amazon UK usually takes a few days to drop its new Nintendo Switch game pre-orders after a big announcement, and that seems to be the case here. There's no sign of it so far, but when it does, Prime members will be able to take advantage of some speedy delivery times.
Rhythm Paradise Groove | Check stock at Very
Very is one of the most underrated UK retailers, but it's usually pretty reliable for new Switch game releases. So far, Rhythm Paradise Groove pre-orders have yet to make an appearance, but it's only a matter of time.
Rhythm Paradise Groove | Check stock at Argos
The classic UK retailer Argos can sometimes take a week or two to drop pre-orders of new Switch and Switch 2 games, and that seems to be the case with Rhythm Paradise Groove. It hasn't appeared quite yet, but if and when stock is ready to go, you'll be able to grab a copy for delivery or use the retailer's handy click and collect service.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
