Rockstar Games is remaining mum about its upcoming juggernaut GTA 6 – marketing supposedly doesn't kick off until later this summer – but that doesn't mean we're not hearing anything about the game, official or otherwise. New whispers claim GTA 6 is going to feature a big-name rapper and might even enrich a few fans that toy with its user-generated content tools.
That comes courtesy of content creator HipHopGamer, who told PC Gamer in an interview that "there's things in Grand Theft Auto that I know for a fact, because I got a chance to party with Rockstar, literally."
According to what he heard at those supposed parties, Rockstar is apparently monetizing GTA 6's user-generated content and turning it into somewhat of a marketplace. Think along the lines of Roblox.

When it does come, especially on PC, if you thought GTA 5 was crazy – especially with the RP servers and everything that they're doing – you ain't seen nothing yet."
As PC Gamer notes, Rockstar itself launched an official marketplace for people to buy mods just earlier this year after acquiring the modding teams behind popular roleplay servers, FiveM and RedM, a couple years back. A strategy research associate job opening is also looking for someone with a "deep understanding of the landscape of Creator Platforms (Roblox, Fortnite, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok)," and familiarity with GTA roleplay servers. (Thanks, RockstarIntel.) Perhaps this is all a sign of things to come as the studio ramps up its monetization plans.
HipHopGamer's other claim is that GTA 6 is going to include a "special side mission" with an artist who he hints might be Freddie Gibbs, the acclaimed Baby Face Killa rapper also featured on one of the GTA 5 radio stations.
What makes these GTA 6 rumors worth more than a half a second's notice compared to the trillions of other claims going around the gossip mill is that HipHopGamer has a pretty extensive history with Rockstar Games. He livestreamed GTA Online from Rockstar's New York City offices back when the game first launched, alongside some developers and once with Freddie Gibbs, notably, and he also somehow snapped a picture with Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick back in 2023. Though you shouldn't take that as hard confirmation that he did, in fact, party with Rockstar or that he knows much of anything about GTA 6.
