Unforgiving, one-shot, one-kill WW1 shooter Gallipoli is out now
Test your skills across tough beach landings and desert warfare in this tactical 50-player online shooter
If you like your war shooters with the grit of single-shot kills and a tactical layer that means you can't just run around spraying bullets, then Gallipoli is for you.
The game has just been released, and an all-new Future Games Show trailer shows off the scale of the battles and locations you'll be fighting across if you're brave enough to enlist.
Gallipoli is a 25 v 25 online shooter from BlackMill Games, the studio behind the WW1 series that includes Verdun, Tannenberg, and Isonzo. Each one has focused on a different part of the First World War, and the tactics involved; Verdun dealt with close trench warfare, Tannenberg visited the Eastern Front, and Isonzo took to high-altitude combat across the Alps.
Each one has developed, the franchise further, and now it's Gallipoli's turn, introducing beach landings and desert warfare. This realistic FPS combat experience sees the British and Ottoman Empires fighting it out across various fronts; storming the beaches of Anzac Cove, attacking the Cape Helles fort aboard the SS River Clyde (briefly seen at the start of the trailer), or battling through the streets of Kut Al Amara in Lower Mesopotamia, to name a few.
Whatever battle you drop into, this is a hardcore, one-shot, one-kill PVP environment, with realistically weighty weapons and mechanics, where squads work across the 25v25 matches to win objective-based battles. There are ten classes to choose from; take charge as an Officer; support the frontlines as a suppressing Heavy Machine Gunner; or pick your targets at range as a Sniper. You can even help keep your team alive as a Stretcher Bearer.
Gallipoli is out now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, and you can keep up with the latest on this and all the WW1 games on Twitter and Facebook.
