In a brand new trailer just dropped at FGS Live at Gamescom LATAM, Mouse: P.I for Hire revealed some of its experimental new weapons.

This cartoon shooter has some serious Cuphead vibes when it comes to art style and now with these 'science-infused' weapons, we can really see the BioShock influences are coming through.

The Cool-D is first up, and as the name suggests, it's a freeze gun that lets you put your enemies on ice. From there you can shatter them with a well-aimed kick, another weapon, or the alternative fire on the Cool-D that blasts out an ice cube with some force.

The Clean-D is a turpentine gun, which blasts out a gooey mix of toxins and corrosives to clean up the streets with enemies just melting away.

The Mind-D is the consciousness gun, letting you stun your enemies and subdue them temporarily using its "self-aware attitude changer" powers. Switch to alt-fire, though, and you go from subdue to brain goo as it literally blows the enemies' minds.

All the weapons in the game are upgradable too, so it'll be interesting to see how these already badass weapons continue to evolve.

You play as Jack Pepper in this gritty shooter that draws its inspiration from 1930s cartoons both visually and through its jazz soundtrack. The city of Mouseberg is just as corrupt as you'd expect, filled with gangsters and mobs in every hole. You'll need weapons like the three just revealed, as well as other comical arsenal additions, if you've any chance of helping a damsel in distress.

Mouse: P.I for Hire is launching at some point in 2025, and it'll be available on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, and Switch.
