Mistfall Hunter's new beta will let you test your skills in its very Soulsy and very tough PvPvE Extraction action
Adventure, find loot, die and do it all over in this grimdark adventure full of swords, monsters and magic
Mistfall Hunter has announced one last chance to try its very Soulsborne-y PvPvE Extraction RPG, with Beta 4 launching in Steam Next Fest on June 15th. This will likely be the last chance to play it ahead of its July launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox.
This dark fantasy adventure casts you as a Gyldhunter, traversing a land corrupted by Gyldenmist (the blood of fallen gods) in this Ragnarok-soaked adventure. Playing alone or with up two friends you'll be exploring a dark fantasy world, battling twisted creatures called the Corroded,, to harvest their blood and scavenge for loot. You risk everything when you venture out, however, and you'll need to find the Returner Woodling to get back to your camp and avoid losing everything if you die.
As you explore and gather high level gear to help you survive, you can chose between five classes - Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, and Seer. You'll have a range of melee and magical options to make use of, with two weapons or combat styles to employ, as you craft your build from over 10 skills and a range of talents. You can also collect upgrades and passives to further develop your hero, and build tactical strategies with teammates.
To really add to the hero play, Mistfall Hunter features 'Precision Aiming Combat', a unique targeting system that gives you complete control of the fast third person combat. It lets you chain together combos and hit weak points in a fighting flow that help you take advantage of any openings your enemies give you.
Mistfall Hunter Beta 4 is the latest, and likely final, playtest, with the previous 3 helping shape the game's ruthless edge and challenge. If you like the look of the new trailer and want to get involved you can find out more at X, Discord and on the game's Steam page.
