Horizon: Zero Dawn will let you hunt robo-dinosaurs on February 28, 2017

There's an aura of mystery surrounding Guerilla Games' upcoming Horizon: Zero Dawn. The studio has created quite the strange and wondrous world - one that feels simultaneously futuristic and primitive. From the get-go, we've been wondering: why does Earth look like this? What happened to our civilization? Well, at least now we know when we'll get our answers: February 28, 2017 in the US and March 1 in the UK.

A new trailer announcing the release date also suggests we haven't even scratched the surface of this game's questions. Take a look and see for yourself:

Apparently, heroine Aloy is as strange as the land she inhabits. Deemed an outcast from a young age, she apparently has no idea where she comes from. And if anyone else does, they're certainly not saying. Some are even so frightened of her that they're ready to kill her to put a stop to her curiosity.

So, let's hear it: what are your theories after watching the new trailer?
