Batman: Arkham Origins studio is working on a new open-world action game

The developer behind Batman: Arkham Origins is working on a new open-world action game, and it doesn't sound like it stars Mr. Wayne. WB Games Montreal, which also worked on Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition and Lego: Legends of Chima Online, has offered up a little bit of insight into its current work through a slew of new job listings.

WB Games Montreal is looking to fill 15 positions, among them a game designer, senior level designer, and technical director. According to those listings, WB's working on "an open world action game" and "a new IP project for next generation game platforms." Keep in mind that those aren't necessarily describing the same game, even if "next-gen" and "open-world action" is the video game industry's one true pairing.

The listings also note that the project(s) will have an online component. Since the studio's working on a new IP, you probably won't be gallivanting around online as the Dark Knight, but you'll likely slip into the color-coordinated boots of another superhero; WB Games Montreal's website describes it as "a passionate dev team developing DC Comics-focused AAA games that evolve and celebrate the legendary brands of Warner Bros."

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
