The Walking Dead game - Gameplay demo

Want to watch 20 minutes of unedited zombie-bashing gameplay footage of Telltale's The Walking Dead game? Of course you do!

The first of five episodes is due out in just a few weeks, giving you a chance to enter into the zombie-infested world of Robert Kirkman's hit comic book series (and AMC television drama). We recently had a chance to sit down with Telltale Games' Job Stauffer and Richard Iggo to take a look at how it plays, and it looks like it's shaping up to be a tense, moody experience.

The chunk of gameplay we played was from an early part of the game, but we're told that later portions will include both action-heavy segments and traditional puzzle-solving moments, like those found in other Telltale games. Take a look at the video to see for yourself, and be sure to check back later this month for our assessment on the first episode.

Will definitely be buying this game. When I saw the blood in the house and the coloring book I thought the kid would come out and attack him.

Hershel was confirmed to be in the game. So yeah. You're going to Hershel's farm.

Tickle me intrigued. I'm a fan of the comics and show. I think I'll pick this up when it comes out.

Definitely intrigued. Big fan of the show and I plan on reading the comics. I like the style the decided to go with since it's not really something that is very prevalent in gaming. As always though, I'll be waiting for some reviews and fan feedback before I spend the cash. Unfortunately skepticism is a bi-product of the title gamer anymore. i'm all for something fairly new and innovative as long as it is presented well regardless of button mashing or any "standard" game mechanics.

Although I think the environment and non-character models look like crap, I'm not sure if I would like the camera and more dialogue path. Interesting though, I'll look for more info on it.
