Vanguard: Saga of Heroes beta kicks off

Fileplanet is opening the Wonka-doors and letting gamers run amuck in the massive world of Telon starting tomorrow, January 5th, with a week long exclusive beta access to Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. The game is promising to build upon both the successes and shortcomings of other MMOs such as World of Warcraft and Everquest by offering character options a-plenty and a much more open ended experience than we've seen before.

You better believe that players eager enough to pre-order, and leave their other online avatars to collect dust, will be up and on immediately, building themselves to god-like proportions right out of the gate. A week in a MMO can be an eternity, so you Fileplanet subscribers should be quick to jump on the exclusive deal. But the even you Johnny-come-latelys should be able to head here tomorrow for info on scoring access to the open beta ASAP (emphasis on should be. At posting time, it's not yet active).

Vanguard comes from the creators behind the Everquest and could very well even throw a rod in the spokes of the seemingly unstoppable WOW wagon. If you still need convincing, feel free to check out our extensive report on Vanguard: Saga of Heroes  from a while back. See ya in Telon.
