This article made me all snuggly in my choice to have Xbox 360 as my primary console. Sorry, Sony fans. Your system may now (finally) have a good library of games, but when it comes to apps, and DLC, you guys get the shaft every time. :)

Don't know if it's just my PS3 or what, but the YouTube app on it sucks. The app itself will crash about every third video(if it loads any videos at all) and will occasionally crash my PS3 as well. I use the web version of YouTube when on the PS3. I do wish it would work, cause watching videos suck on 280p resolution is horrid.

Agreeing with MassSaber, The ONLY thing there that looks worth it is the Manga App- I hate watching Anime in low-quality online, and even if the range is small, if it's free it still seems worth getting. And, of course, the UK suffers because it was the big power a hundred and fifty years ago instead of today.

I feel the need to mention the awesome Kinect support for last.fm. Shouting out "Xbox, next!" loud enough to be heard over the speakers, and stopping a horrible track in its... tracks, is great.

Hmm I'm not quite sure I would call a 360 'a state-of-the art gaming rig' and more like a 7 year old piece of kit that microsoft hopes to keep alive as long as they possibly can.

I Actually like the new updates, my Mrs spilled red wine on the laptop last month so its coming in hand and with 4od and other tv channels on the way it'll be handy. plus i already subscribe to lovefilm so bonus! 1 thing im not happy about is for some reason i can't join certain parties even after several invites and creating my own then my friends can't join me. so having to rely on game chat. which isn't too bad but when theres 5/6 of us playing BF3 i can only talk to 3 of them... please rectify this MS its becoming painfully annoying!

I was sort of excited at first for the new interface since the old interface was disorganized and hard to navigate. The new interface doesn't seem to add any new or worthwhile features other than the fact that it's easier to navigate. I still have to pay to watch TV on XBL, when in fact I'm already paying for XBL. I have no interest in scrolling through XBL's heavily controlled Bing search engine, and like one person said below, I'm not going to peruse Youtube for cat/box videos when I can play a game instead. It seems like a whole lot of fluff and justification for a paid service. Concentrate more on eliminating lag from my games.

I agree with most of the comments. It's not like this is a "grand step towards progression". I realize not everyone has the latest breed of smartphones, or a computer sitting right next to them, but this is hardly a beneficial thing to anyone. It will be like WebTV was to non-computer owners; clunky and rarely used. Who's going to stop playing a game with their friends to wait 3 minutes through the interface and watch a YouTube video? Because you sure as hell won't be able to play the videos for everyone in a little window while you're gaming. Can iHeart be played in the background instead of the game music while you're playing? Nope. Most people can put whatever internet radio they want on while they game, with their cellphone or even laptop sitting next to them for quick adventures into cat videos, game guides, or facebook. These aren't "improvements" to integrate into a "gaming" console when they don't even improve the gaming experience.
