That's awesome to hear. It'll be hilarious yet interesting if it was something.f else entirely XD Wonder what it'll be for, should be interesting.

A tingle-esque minigame compilation staring Teddie.

Oh my god! I had this page bookmarked for over a month now and I checked it almost every day. I kinda lost hope of ever seeing a new page writing here but when I saw page 1/12 instead of 1/11 I jumped out of my seat! So happy that we're getting closer to Persona 5.., Finally. Honestly I don't care if this is a Persona 4 Ch.2 or a brand new story. I trust Atlus at making new characters and a new story line because they're amazing at it but I also wouldn't mind having the persona 4 cast as they were hands down my favorite cast of ALL Shin Megami Tensei's game I've played. If they go the P4 cast route maybe mix in some P3 characters with I'm guessing? They've been both in Arena. Anyways, glad to see this updated! I'm already hyped without even a single trailer.

well if you look at the color themes of the games then you'd see that persona 3's blue color represented sort of a morbid theme because well, blue is usually represented as depressing and thoughts of ones useless existence, which is true for the game where as persona 4 had a yellow theme which represented happiness and dwelling into the inner psyche and also more joyous or comedic. this could point that if you look at the remaining color's then you'd realize that there not many more colors remain. and if this is indeed the concept behind the themes or settings of the series then that could also mean that that the series will end once every game has been in the color of the rainbow. but that's just a theory.

You guys forgot about Devil Survivor 2 Break Record and the fact the Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl just released. I do expect them to announce a new title by mid August but I'm not sure if it will be Persona 5. Its more likely to be a Persona 3 remake to tie in with the recently announced Persona 3 movie series. Possibly on 3DS. Also, while I'm fairly certain that the casts from Persona 3 and 4 will return in 5, I don't think we'll be playing as any of the past protagonists. Also, I'm going to guess it'll launch across 360, PS3 and Wii U.

I'd be disappointed if it were a Persona 3 remake for 3DS. I'd buy it, but I'd still be kind of disappointed. Now a Vita remake with as much care as the 4 remake? Count me in. Still hoping that it's Persona 5, though. Current-gen consoles would be great, but I'm worried that I may have been spoiled by P3P and P4 vita and their ability to be put into sleep mode at any time.

I don't care if its a P4:2 or a P5. Ill be happy for any new Persona content. In my opinion though I think that Sony should purchase at least the P Team, or Atlus all together. P4 on Vita was amazing, and if Sony could shove more money and resources at the devs we would surely see more and better releases. I would not care for Nintendo purchasing them though, seeing how they seem to treat their other 1st party games I have a feeling that a generation or two from now they would leave the SMT and P series for dead. From what I hear Sony is known for treating their 1st party studios very well, and is great about letting studios delay their games so that the original vision can be met, or even surpassed. Plus a new Persona game on an updated P4:Golden engine for Vita/Ps3/and possibly Ps4 would be amazing.

Except Nintendo.didn't fire any of their studios, and Playstation Allstars was rushed and the team was fired. No Company is perfect, they all have their faults. Frankly Sony should get the Persona team, while Nintendo gets the SMT team otherwise both fans don't want to their series on the other's machines.

I agree completely with you, although that would only happen if Atlus gets sold and is sold similar to THQ's propierties. In all honesty, I would hate for Atlus to dissapear. At this point I won't care even if Activision buys it or rescues it. All I want is P5.
  • Swedish_Chef - July 27, 2013 7:39 a.m.

Persona 3, 4 and Catherine all take place in the same universe, so expect Persona 5 to also take place in the same universe as these games so they can make more spinoff titles.

The... presentation of these games kinda turns me off. I'm not sure EXACTLY how Persona look compared to SMT, but I never liked the whole 2D, barely animated fight scenes sometimes/usually/always on a realistic photo. It looked odd, and the combat was very off-putting compared to other JRPGs. Alas, videos and screenshots rarely do a game justice, so I'll probably just have to check these out as soon as I straighten up what sub-series is which and in what chronological order each goes in. I've heard my friend ramble on about Persona 4 for far too long.
  • Cyberninja - July 26, 2013 6:26 p.m.

I would really kill someone if the next numbered game was a sequel to P3 or P4, yes I understand that they are the two most popular games but that would be a first each new number introduced us to a new cast of characters, with minimal cameos or old characters in minor roles. If they want to continue Persona 4 they should do it with a subtitle and not a new number like with the P2 duology or with Persona 3 and the answer, just like you wouldn't make a second numbered final fantasy about the same characters. This is coming from someone who loves all the games and not just the new ones and I would hate if the series changed since Yu's story is done and overwith, I would be fine with them showing up to help but I would hate with a burning passion if they made him the focus again.

Honestly I'm still making my way through 3, I can wait for a little bit for some Persona news. However with how much they've been rereleasing SMT games I hope they remake nocturne, or at least put it on the PS store.

Nicely done, Henry. That was some hardcore journalism right there. Interesting to read through.
  • JMarsella09 - July 26, 2013 2:30 p.m.

Persona 4: The Golden is my favorite game of all time. I am more then willing to wait for the sequel.
  • g1rldraco7 - July 26, 2013 1:53 p.m.

I was so sure they would be working on a sequel to Catherine. Oh well I can hope and i need to get Persona 4 soon.
  • taokaka - July 26, 2013 1:37 p.m.

This year has been the year of persona 4 for me, I picked up golden at release in Australia in February and finished it just in time for the release of arena which I still haven't quite finished. And in a strange coincidence just 2 hours ago I finished watching the persona 4 anime. Regarding Persona 5, well I'm just going to leave this here
