New video shows PlayStation Phone playing PS1 emulator

Despite not being officially announced, we nearly know as much about the Sony Ericcson Xperia (AKA the PlayStation Phone) as we do about the 3DS.

This latest video shows the power of the device by running a standard Android PlayStation Emulator called “Rom Buddy” at a pretty decent clip. The user shown in the clip tries his hands at Rage Racer and Resident Evil 2.

The emulator shown in the video is not legally supported by Sony and is subject to all the same laws that govern PC-based emulation. Hopefully, Sony will render such 3rd party software redundant with their own official PS1 app for the system, but the firm is staying tight lipped about their leaky ship at the moment.

It should probably be mentioned that this device is in possession of a Chinese review site, who has somehow managed to review it and test it before Sony has even acknowledged it. It's probably one of the infamous Chinese knock-off products.
