We've probably uninstalled Lord of the Rings Online about five times now since it released back in 2007. Every time we think we're finally ready to move on from the game, the designers at Turbine come up with awesome new ideas that reinvigorate our interest.
The latest feature that Turbine has revealed about the upcoming expansion, Riders of Rohan, are "Warbands." They're essentially groups of elite enemies that ride around the map hunting players down (seen above.) If there's anything that will drive home the realism of an idyllic world being overrun by evil it's being run down by a raiding party of orcs riding wolves.
Riders of Rohan will be Lord of the Rings Online's fourth expansion for the free-to-play/subscription hybrid MMO. It's set for release on September 5, 2012.
