FEAR Extraction Point
Meet the meatiest of mini-guns
The only question remaining is one of experience. FEAR was built by Monolith - an experienced shooter developer that raised the bar and our expectations. Extraction Point is in the hands of a team more used to creating (admittedly excellent) strategy games, such as the Kohan series.
An action game like FEAR lives and dies by its levels - where the enemies jump out from, where the ammo packs and doors are. It's choreography, where the ballerinas are armoured automata, the music is the sound of bullets, and the grand finale is not a heart-wrenching kiss, but a boss battle. At least we know the team has nailed the conductor's baton.
Above: The mini-gun is insanely powerful. Go into slow-mo and the room fills with a mist of blood

Stellar Blade director jokes the action RPG "is the outcome of my creative dictatorship," but "everyone pretends to listen to what I say whilst creating what they want"
I wish Stellar Blade's New Game+ was added before my first playthrough, because it sounds like a whole new action RPG with 34 new outfits and a bigger skill tree
