Take a sneak peek at Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk with this exclusive behind-the-scenes image

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at Christopher Nolan’s epic war movie, Dunkirk. This exclusive image – check it out below – from the new issue of Total Film magazine shows Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, and Fionn Whitehead at sea in the historical thriller from the director of Inception and The Dark Knight.

The movie is shot on numerous locations, including Dunkirk itself, as Nolan sets out to tell the real-life story of the evacuation of the beaches of Dunkirk, where 400,000 soldiers were stranded at the dawn of World War 2.

As ever, Nolan is dedicated to doing as much as he can in-camera for real, which meant spending weeks shooting on boats, plus flying real Spitfires – and even filming in the water for one bravura sequence.

This image can be found in the new issue of Total Film magazine, out on Friday 2 June, along with three other exclusive images and interviews with director Christopher Nolan and stars Tom Hardy, Harry Styles, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy and Mark Rylance.
