Doom has a photo mode as of yesterday, and thanks in no small part to the gorgeously unsettling designs of the game's demonic foes, the results have been spectacular. Players have already started sharing the fruits of their labor with some truly messed up documentary-style photos.
Beware of spoilers in case you want to discover all the freaky enemies by yourself. Either way, please observe a moment of silence for the many Doomguys who died to bring you these photos. You don't get that close to a Spiderdemon and live to collect your Pulitzer, just saying.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar.
