    Sounds epic.

I think I will pick this up. I've been itching to play a platformer lately.

I didn't even bother to read the review. Chris is a die hard Disney fanboy so his opinion was already made before he even booted this game up. I got this game about a week ago and it's horrible. I can't see anyone wasting $50 on buying this. I wouldn't even justify taking up a rental spot on Gamefly with all the good games that are out now.

Just read the review. No thanks. I don't agree with anything said. That platforming is generic and boring, level design is a joke and accidentally making a crucial decision is just a quick A button press away. This games pace is like rolling a hexagonal ball up a hill. 95% of quests will have you going here to get this item to take to this person to get another item to go give to this person who gives you another item to go back and give to the first guy. The camera is horrible. You certainly won't be running around spraying enemies with paint with the greatest of ease, you'll be running around trying to position your camera so you can see what you need to shoot while trying not to walk into a corner or fall through the floor or off the edge. I've never disagreed with a review more in my life.

May finally have a reason to get a Wii. I'm by no means a Disney fan (mostly because their recent work). But this seems to have a reverence for the source material, so hopefully it will rekindle the love.

Thanks for the REAL review Maxstats. I feel way more confident hearing about the game from someone who stole it and doesn't care about the subject material.

OMFG this site lost all cred the instant I saw "rehashes in SMB2", I'm assuming that was a typo and meant SMG2 because otherwise it doesn't make sense. Galaxy 2 is going to win Game of the Year for a reason you crazy person! Best game ever made by some people... Wow... just wow. And why the comparison to Toy Story 3 and not Epic Yarn or Donkey Kong CR?
  • Randomnumba - November 25, 2010 5:41 p.m.

Chris are you trying to start something by saying one of the best parts of the game is that you went to disneyland?
  • Aletheon - November 25, 2010 6:15 p.m.

Awesome. From Donkey Kong to Epic Mickey. Platforming is alive and well...
  • batmanboy11 - November 25, 2010 8:43 p.m.

I want this game really bad!
  • BigBoss - November 25, 2010 8:51 p.m.

A brilliantly written review, conveying your absolute adoration for Disney in such a meaningful way. I'm glad it's able to deliver.
  • rxb - November 25, 2010 9:28 p.m.

Good review Chris, game looks epic, and vey good for a wii game.
  • Ban - November 25, 2010 11:30 p.m.

This is the only game standing between me getting a new 360 or PS3 guess I'll skip on the new system until next year then... anyway great article Chris! ;)

How long has the Wii been decent? I've faded out for a while.

The biggest crime of this review is that it will inspire many gamers to rush out and buy this game assuming it is "The greatest 3D platformer of the year" and "better than SMG2". An absolute crime. I am struggling to understand how you could claim either about Epic Mickey, which is, in reality, an extremely pedestrian and dull platformer. The levels are small and boring to explore, the paint mechanic is never used to its full potential and the morality system is pretty much non-existent. Yes, I have played Epic Mickey, and had to put it down about half-way through because it was just ... awful. If the reviewer honestly believes that this game is a 9/10 and is equal to SMG2 then that is just... sad. And it's a gross disservice to gamers, because I honestly don't think any serious gamer will play Epic Mickey and think it's anything above a 6 out of 10. If you read this review and rush out to buy the game, I think you will have to brace yourself to be disappointed.

Anyone who regularly listens to TalkRadar saw this coming haha! But it does look good so I'm NOT calling out this review.
  • 8bitBaby - November 26, 2010 1:39 a.m.

nice. Ub Iwerks! i should expect nothing less from you, antista...
  • Maxstats69 - November 26, 2010 2:11 a.m.

Blaggers review was better than mine and Chris's.....
  • Aletheon - November 26, 2010 4:44 a.m.

@ventanger what's it like to be ignorant and lame?
  • fartinapot - November 26, 2010 6:40 a.m.

I skipped a beat when it said epic was better than SMG2, but then I read "and no". I'm definintley going to get this around christmas, and it looks like an exllenet game, but honestly, I don't think any game will ever beat SMG2....
