Castlevania: Lords of Shadow DLC incoming

Konami has announced two new DLC packs for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, which will introduce new areas, monsters, and story lines. Titled ‘Reverie,’ the first of the two new add-ons will take players back to the Castle to aid former vampire servant Carmilla. But it’s the second DLC pack, ‘Resurrection’ that sounds most interesting.

Resurrection will continue the story of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, picking up right after the unexpected ending. According to Konami, it “…gives insight into the dramatic epilogue seen by players upon the completion of the game, and Gabriel’s ultimate destiny. This will be larger in scope than the first add-on, as it features a final showdown with a very notorious enemy.”

Both Reverie and Resurrection are scheduled to launch in early 2011.

Carmilla was a Lord of Shadow, Laura was the servant

I wasn't prepared for how emotionally involving this game turned out to be, it's absolutely brilliant, and the musical score is beautiful. As for the DLC, I hope Konami do a Rockstar and release both on one disc later down the line. I like stuff on disc - that's just how I roll.

@DevilDoor *Spoilers* How can fighting Satan(!) after he supposedly kills a brainwashed Patrick Steward not be a proper ending? *End*

They could have just left the second DLC in the original to make a proper ending. But sales numbers are more important, I guess.

Resurrection sounds interesting. I loved the dick out of this game and would love a reason to revisit it.

I have a friend who is inexplicably smitten with this game. As for which pack is more interesting... tits or a fight against future-dracula? Only time will tell.
