As we prepare to descend into a world of chaos (opens in new tab) with the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead this weekend, the show's companion spin-off has dropped a cheeky season two teaser. Much like its first six episodes, Fear The Walking Dead looks to be trekking into previously-unexplored territory - the ocean.
The season finale saw Madison (Kim Dickens) and Travis (Cliff Curtis) leading the remaining survivors out to sea on a luxury yacht owned by the mysterious Victor Strand. There's got to be safety out in the middle of the water, right? Well, it looks like maritime life won't be a laidback vacation of sunbathing and margaritas. As this brief teaser unravels, a raft full of more survivors floats into view, Travis aims his gun at an unseen target, and a zombie goes for a quick dip. Yes. They can swim.
If The Walking Dead has taught us anything, it's that people will maim and kill to feel safe. A giant boat far from the reaches of the mainland - kitted out with who knows what - won't go unnoticed by other groups desperate to survive. Even if Madison and Travis's crew ward off zombies, there's still the matter of pesky humans...
The first seven episodes of Fear The Walking Dead season 2 begin airing on AMC April 10, with the final eight due to land later in 2016.
