Doctor Who: Mark Gatiss In Episode 13

Story contains mild spoilers about “A Good Man Goes To War” and episode 13

Fisher-Becker, who will also appear in episode 13, responds to a question about his favourite memories of working on who, by saying, “The camaraderie of the team was lovely, the script read-through around the table, getting into the frock! The other thing was getting to meet lots of other actors: Neve McIntosh was lovely to work with… Mark Gatiss...” To which the interviewer asks, “Amazing, is he in Episode 7 or Episode 13?” and Becker-Fisher confirms, “That’s episode 13.”

Gatiss has, of course appeared in Doctor Who in the flesh in “The Lazarus Experiment” and also provided voice-work for “Victory Of The Daleks”, as well as having written “The Unquiet Dead”, “The Idiot’s Lantern” and “Victory Of The Daleks”. His role in series six’s sfinale remains unclear, though it seems unikely Lazarus would be making a return (despite the name). Maybe he’s doing another voiceover? Though in that case it seems unlikely Fisher-Becker would have got the chance to act alongside him. We’ll wait and see…

In the meantime, it’s worth checking out the Cultbox interview, where Becker-Fisheer also reveals that, “in episode seven Dorium is a hero and in episode 13 he’s more of a tormenting mentor,” and that, “Everything will be answered in episode 13, but then something else will be asked, so you’ve got the cliffhanger to the new series”.
