While Eliza Dushku waits out the writers’ strike for Joss Whedon to start work on his new TV show (that would be Dollhouse), she’s keeping busy.
The actress has signed on to The Thacker Case alongside The Bourne Supremacy’s Gabriel Mann. They’ll play a crusading attorney and his main legal assistant in the movie, which follows the real-life case of Kevin Thacker’s wrongful death.
The regular drunk-driver was found dead in an alley behind the small town Iowa police department following his latest arrest for the crime. Stuart Pepper (Mann) led the case to uncover police corruption and conspiracy, which drew national attention across the pond.
John Savage has also joined the film, playing Thacker’s father, who brought the case in the first place.
Brian Jun has just started directing the movie in LA this week.
