What's the new Everyone's Gone To The Rapture's trailer trying to tell us?

Childhood lost
The trailer opens with a children's mural, placing one of the settings, at least, in a school? A nursery? Church hall? Other clues though suggest the building's been used for something else during the course of the game.

Who is John Coles?
As the camera pulls away from the painting there's a brief look at a missing persons poster. It reads: "Missing: John Coles. Last seen Sunday night, June 2nd 1984". The rest of it's hard to read but there's stuff about John being an "elderly resident".

Ready for distaster
Whatever the apocalypse at the heart of Everyone's Gone To The Rapture is, it seems to have developed slowly enough for people to organise by the looks of these emergency kits.

Blood born?
The disaster at the heart of the game is still unclear. Is this blood from a disease or a fight? The tissues suggest someone was treating a wound, but the spatter says violence. There are also green leaflets that look as if they might say 'Influenza' at the top but they're almost impossible to read.

Spirits Within?
This is where things get weird. The voices you can hear in the trailer come from these glowing ghostly figures (you can also see them on the bench in the image up top). Are they what happens to the people who disappear? Or just a way the game fills in story events?
