EV2 is a freshly announced free-to-play MMORPG that will kit you and your pals out with insanely cool advanced weaponized suits that will give Tony Stark something to compete with.
The hope is that these suits will help the brave souls take on the invaders attacking the already dying planet in this dystopian future. The high-tech mech suits look effortlessly cool against the crumbling ruins of what's left of civilization in EV2, all shining metal vs industrial concrete as you use your thrusters to explore from the air.
Earth Version 2, as the game is officially called, will let you choose from one of four of these powerhouse suits as you dive into its looter-shooter action. There's the Brute, which as you might expect is the tank-like option, the best design for close-range combat and absorbing damage while holding the front lines. The Cloaker is all about stealth and moving unnoticed, with quick and deadly attacks. Then you've got the Pathfinder, which utilizes a drone companion to fulfill that crucial support role. Finally, the Mag suit is the healer, capable of wielding cosmic energies to not only mend the wounds of their allies but also deal out truly devastating energy attacks.
During each match, you'll have the potential to earn epic rewards like unique guns, which will allow you to become the ultimate mech powerhouse with an epic loadout. You'll be able to equip your EV2 with special abilities to dial in on the way you play too.
At the end of the match, the better you play the more loot you'll earn, so you'll benefit from investing in your mech and your loadout to come out on top. That's true whether you're playing in the team vs team mode known as Havoc, the battle royal-esque Survivor - Last Man Standing, or the tense Deadly Mist mode where two teams go head to head in a shrinking battlefield to earn loot, defeat the other team, and eventually take on the boss.
EV2 will launch on Steam, the Epic Games Store and Windows PC when it arrives, but you can get ahead of the game now by pre-registering on the EV2 website to receive a free Epic Gun Skin to use from launch.
