Nowadays it's easy to pick up a PS5 console or bundle in Australia, whether you're after the standalone disc or digital version, but getting them cheaper than RRP can sometimes be a challenge. That may prove especially true in light of Sony's most recent PS5 price hike in Australia: the new RRP for PS5 in Australia is AU$829.95 for the disc edition, and AU$749.95 for the digital edition. The PS5 Pro hasn't received a similar price hike, but remains very expensive at AU$1,199.
By the way, the digital PS5 and the PS5 Pro don't come with a disc drive, so you'll need to buy the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive for PS5 for AU$124.95 to tack onto the side.
If you want a console right now, all relevant retailers are listed below, as well as the respective bundles available. Deals are pretty thin on the ground during the quiet January period, so if you're in the market for a PS5 right now, expect to pay around full price.

As far as online outlets are concerned, Amazon reliably has PS5 stock, and it tends to be a little beneath the RRP most of the time, if only by a couple of bucks. Prices tend to fluctuate, so if you're not happy with today's price, check back tomorrow.

He mostly plays platformers and RPGs, and keeps a close eye on anything of particular interest to antipodean audiences. He (rather obsessively) tracks the movements of the Doom modding community, too.
