EXCLUSIVE Neil Gaiman Introduces Fortunately, The Milk

A personal introduction from Neil Gaiman to his new children’s book, Fortunately, The Milk , due out in September 2013 from Bloomsbury. It sounds brilliantly bonkers!

Fortunately, the Milk will be a time-travelling adventure for young readers (and probably a good deal of older readers who refuse to grow up) featuring aliens, dinosaurs, volcano gods and a pint of milk that saves the universe! The book will be illustrated throughout by Chris Riddell, and will be the third Neil Gaiman project that Chris Riddell has worked on. Riddell has previously illustrated the tenth anniversary edition of Coraline and The Graveyard Book .

Bloomsbury Children’s Books Publishing Director Rebecca McNally says, “It’s a brain-bogglingly brilliant cocktail of pitch-perfect ingredients, guaranteed to make readers from seven to one-hundred-and-seven want to travel through time and space with the irresistible Professor Steg. Fiendishly clever and utterly silly all at the same time, this is Neil Gaiman at his best – and we’re thrilled to continue Neil’s partnership with Chris Riddell at Bloomsbury in such spectacular style.”
