Sega Rally has a much easier run on PSP with no version of DiRT on Sony's handheld. It's literally a one Subaru race. So what do you get? Well you get the sweet arcade racing of Sega Rally, which means sweeping into corners, lush scenery - from dense forests to glacial mountains - and straightforward racing at blistering speeds. It handles like a dream too. And while it doesn't quite manage to recreate the beautiful mud effects of the next-gen version, it looks lovely.
 
But despite all this beauty, Sega Rally feels pretty empty. OK, so there are loads of courses to bomb around, time trials and the championship add some purpose to the racing and the Wi-Fi mode allows game-sharing from one UMD, as well as head-to-head races with other players. But there's barely any variety. It's a pure arcade racer at heart and great fun for a while, but the lasting appeal is negligible. The high-speed action never takes its foot off the gas, but you'll be hard-pressed to find a reason to continue playing for long.
