Gamers who still haven't bought a PlayStation 2 (both of you), your long wait has paid off - sort of. Last week, Sony slashed the PS2's retail price by $20, meaning the system now costs $129.99 instead of $149.99.
Twenty bucks off might not seem like a generous incentive - especially given that console price breaks have historically hovered around $50 - but for some, saving enough on the purchase price to buy a copy of Kingdom Hearts might be just the push they need. Assuming they're not stashing away money for the as-yet-unpriced PlayStation 3, that is.
