I can understand still sticking to the PS3 but all the way till Summer 2014? Sheesh, morons. This is all Sega Sammy's fault

The new generation is crap until the end of the year or next anyway. Might as well make it were there are most costumers.
  • profile0000 - November 24, 2013 11:24 a.m.

Well, now I can't wait for winter '14.

" our bigger concern is if this will feature an entirely new cast and story. But if the P4 crew is left out, we’ll still get plenty of them in 2014." It should feature an entirely new cast and story every numbered game has and I would be disgusted if just because the P4 characters are popular if they took over another numbered game that would be like having a Mainline numbered Final Fantasy game having the same cast for 2 straight games

Please be on the Vita. Please be on the Vita!
  • rainn'sgaydar - November 20, 2013 5:08 a.m.

I'm terrified this will be a PS3 game.
  • GR_RyanTaljonick - November 20, 2013 8:56 a.m.

    I mean, c'mon - you KNOW that's gonna happen.
  • rainn'sgaydar - November 20, 2013 9:28 a.m.

I DO know. And I hate that I know it.
  • JMarsella09 - November 20, 2013 1:46 p.m.

Some of the best ps2 games came out when the PS3 was already on the shelf.
  • Shigeruken - November 20, 2013 12:24 a.m.

Yes please! Give me a reason to get one of the new consoles!
  • GamesRadarCollanderCooper - November 19, 2013 10:21 p.m.

Those motherfuckers better be making this for PS4. I don't even want to look at my PS3 anymore
  • GR_RyanTaljonick - November 20, 2013 8:56 a.m.

I hate to break your heart, but... My heart tells me this is certainly a PS3 game.
  • GamesRadarCollanderCooper - November 20, 2013 1:28 p.m.

Why is Atlus always a generation behind? They have a loyal following. I'm sure they'd recoup their development costs. Wasn't Catherine actually profitable for them?
  • JMarsella09 - November 20, 2013 1:48 p.m.

They want to bring the best experience they can. That means having it on a system they know.
  • occasionalgoldfish - September 28, 2013 1:18 p.m.

Oh man, I really need to get a Vita and play P4G.
  • punkamisto - September 26, 2013 7:46 p.m.

droooollll...Persona 5 would be epic....i loved the 4th five years ago... oh the good times when I was young and didn´t have to work..oh wait I already worked..but not that much :P.. Let´s just hope for the best..
  • rainn'sgaydar - September 26, 2013 7:29 p.m.

That was a lot of information. Hope you're right! But I'm not sure the epilogue could lead directly to a sequel, since Yu is assumably in school at home with his parents and only returning to Inaba for summer break. We can dream, but I'm not sure I'm on board. Would've been worth mentioning the new character coming to P4: Arena. It's a safe assumption he'll play into P5 somehow. If that's the case, I'd say P5 will carry over some P3 and P4 characters, take place in the same universe, but not be a direct sequel. Unlikely to take place in Inaba, I'd guess. But we're all speculating so who's to say anything is wrong or right?

Not a fan of how you wrote up this mystery announcement. You make it sound as if it has to be Persona 5 (especially in your tweet linking to this article). Feels intentionally misleading like something you would see on the news.

Don't make headlines about it being a random reveal, it happens the day after the P3 movie so it could be news about the next part after all they have never had persona take place in real cities and just to give you the Heads up there is already a P4:A2 thats being worked on.
