Very Easy Goals
An easy way to get a goal is:
1. Get the puck and go around the players net (Left handed player, go from left of net. Right handed player, go from right of net)
2. Cross the icing line and go in between the goal and the boards (Doesn't matter how far away from the goal you are)
3. Wind up for your shot holding the arrow key to towards the goal (make sure nobody is in the way) AUTO SHOT AIM MUST BE ON
4. Shoot a slap shot, and 9/10 times the puck will go in

Power up goaltender
When you goaltender is letting to many goals in. Boost him up. All you have to do is when your at the place that you pick your team before you click the A button press the Y button. It will show you the team options like what kind of jersey and that stuff. Look down at the very bottom. Can you see gollie boost. You move that over to your team not the other team. Make sure you move that ball closer to your team for a good boost!

Get Superstars
In franchise mode you can get superstars by trading a first round pick and a player that's rating is 80 or higher.

Easy Goals
Play in any mode on easy or beginner and just as you cross the blue line press the shoot button and the puck will go in almost always.

Duplicate a Player!
If you would like to create a duplicate of the same player on the NHL 2004 roster go to 'My NHL' then go to 'Create Player'. The next thing you have to do is type in the Players last name and first name, and then it'll say "There is a player in the database with that name. Would you like to create a player with the same information?" This works with only the NHL 2004 roster!

Ultimate Dynasty team
To get an awesome team go to rosters in exhibition mode then go to trade and pick all the players you want. start a new dynasty mode and set rosters to current and you will have the team you picked!!!

Card Cheats
Start a dynasty and earn points by scoring goals, hitting,assists etc...Then go to features and buy cards. In some of those cards you will get cheats u can use in the game. Collect all the cards. The higher the level u play on the more points you get.

Dynasty Mode Trick
Before you start a dynasty stack up the team u want to use. then in the first year trade off some of the bigger contracts for 1st round draft picks. then every year trade away some more until u have a sweet team of all drafted players*. When their contracts are up in the next season trade them for more draft piccks. just keep the cycle going and you will always have great teams. To make this more effective put your upgrade points toward your scouting and coaching staff. try to get an international super coach to make your top prospects better before their first contract is up.
*NOTE-try to sign your prospects to a 5 or 6 year contract (this way u get the most use out of them before they want more than u can afford).

Easy Breakaways
Before the game stack player ability and goalie ability in options. When your goalie makes a save dump the puck at the other goalie, the goalie should stop the puck leaving it in front of the net. Then send one of your faster players to the net and get the puck. All the other players will be in your end and you'll have a breakaway.

Fully Energized Lines
If you are in a game and your lines are all tired, pause the game. Then go to the team options screen. Change your line changes to off. Then resume play, and then pause it again. Change the line changes back to whatever you had them set at before and you will have fully energized lines.

The Wrap-Around
This isn't really a cheat but it can help you to score needed goals. When you have the puck (behind the opposing team's net) skate whichever way around the net you feel more comfortable with. Skate to about halfway to the blue line close to the boards and then shoot (B Button). This has a 75% chance of going in. Try The Wrap-Around with a player that has a sniper icon beside his name to increase the chance of a goal!

All Out Attack
If you're down by a goal late in the game and the other team has the puck, move your Offensive Quick Play to All out Attack and your Defensive Quick Play to High Pressure to put maximum pressure on the opposing team so you can get the puck back in your possession.

Old Jerseys
Go to Play Now and select 2 teams. Once you have 2 teams selected, click the A button. Then a controller setup screen will come up. Put the controller cursor on the team you wish to play on. Then click the Y button. You are now into the Team Options screen. Go up to one of the jerseys and move left or right on the control stick. It will change what jerseys you will wear in the game. The Minnesota North Stars are there and the Toronto St. Pats ect.
