To change preferences in the game for different things, e. g. weapon power. Go into the C: drive find the Civil War Generals file open it the open the "Spread" folder there is some notepad documents containing teh file hacks. File hacks are named with appropriate titles, e. g. "Weapon" will change the weapons .
