5 new Call of Duty: Black Ops screens, for the delight of your eyes

Aaaand the Call of Duty: Black Ops media deluge continues. Yesterday we brought you our none-more-detailed breakdown of all the hidden information in the new trailer, and today Treyarch's upcoming Cold War CoD is once again present in the form of five new screens.

They look to be based around the characters and locations seen in yesterday's trailer, and are well worth checking out for a better, glossier, high res look at just how cool Black Ops is shaping up to be. What do you reckon? Was Meiks right all along about Treyarch's latent levels of awesome? Could the balance of power between they and Infinity ward be shifting with Black Ops?

Above: It looks like somewhat less covert street fighting will make a showing

Above: Don't get excited. A 'tasche and gun do not Captain Price make

Above: Wheeeee! More of the base-jumping from yesterday

Above: If this pic was any more 'Nam, it'd be freaking out and having a flashback

So what do you reckon to the pics? And to Black Ops in general? As ever, let us know in the comments, or via our online encampments at Facebook and Twitter.

@MaynardJ: Thank you for that information. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that or not as i've heard something like you've said before. But thanks for clearing it up. :).

@jakery22: It's archaic language (old English) still applied sometimes if the context allows it. In present grammar rules it's incorrect, but it was good English a few centuries ago. Apparently, the source of this particular quote is a famous line from a 17th century poem by Richard Lovelace: "Stone walls do not a prison make". Similarly, a mustache and a gun "do not Captain Price make". These two sentences have the same meaning (you need more than x to make y), so the context allow using this old language.

Meiks is right in saying that COD: WAW is a better looking game as MW2
  • MW3 - May 21, 2010 12:29 a.m.

So excited for this game. Looks like the game might be cooler than MW2 was.

Should it be 'do not make captain price'? On the Moustache and gun picture? Or should it say that?
  • bluscorp - May 20, 2010 1:42 p.m.

God i can't wait for this. I'm more excited for this than i was for MW2.

ATGNWT: There were bits of real-time gameplay in the trailer yesterday. It was cut up with FMV, admittedly, but it was there.
