Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman give the lowdown on Trespass

Joel Schumacher has recently wrapped filming on a new thriller with Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman.

This one has been kept pretty quiet so far, but the Shreveport Times has recently come up with a clutch of interviews with the director and stars. Trespass sees the two Nics playing a husband and wife caught in the centre of a violent intrusion at their home.

Schumacher says of the movie: "I think that's probably most of our fears. That, in the middle of the night, you're going to wake up and there's someone in your house or apartment… Then, there are secrets that lie in Nic and Nicole's marriage [so] it becomes a psychological thriller."

Kidman admits the tough shoot took its toll: "I realised that it's getting to me. The violence and abuse that I'm shooting on camera must have somehow permeated into my mind off the set." It's not all bad though, with Kidman describing Cage as "a delight".

Cage was happy to return the compliment: "Nicole is someone I've admired. I think she's a very mysterious and memorable actor and I wanted to work with her… The chemistry has been great." Twilight 's Cam Gigandet has also bagged a role in the movie.
