Reach is the next greatest VR game, and this trailer just proves it

Dropping this October, Reach is going to be the virtual reality game to pay attention to. Coming to us from the creators of Synapse, the favorite VR game of former-PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida himself, that should already give you a sense of the calibre to expect.

Every trailer that's dropped for Reach has given us a further glimpse into its world, combat, and unique weaponry. But this latest trailer is our best look yet - and you can watch it above.

In this action-adventure game, hero Rosa is given some incredibly special gauntlets as seemingly the only human in this unusual world. These gauntlets give her enhanced strength and let her heal, which is going to come in very useful in this terrain filled with powerful enemies.

They also let her use weaponry like a throwing shield, which not only protects her from enemies, but can also be embedded in walls to help her climb. You'll also have a grappling hook, the ability to climb metal walls, and even the option to take enemy weaponry and make it your own.

Of course, you've got some arms of your own, too, including an elemental bow powered by magic grubs.

There's so much variety to the combat and traversal in Reach, it's going to make for quite the exhilarating VR adventure. It really is unlike any VR game we've seen before, and takes immersion to the next level. With a world so mysterious and intriguing to explore, we can't wait to dive into Reach next month.

Reach is coming to Meta Quest, PSVR 2, and PC VR on October 16 priced at $39.99 / £32.99 / €39.99. You can pre-order it now on the Meta Quest Store, PlayStation Store, and wishlist on Steam. If you pre-order it now you get the Ferran Cosmetic Set too.
