Favourite Film Of 2009
STAR TREK
And I'm not even a Trek fan, really, jut thought it was a great movie
Honorable mention:
Moon
Worst Film of 2009
LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS
Possibly worst film of the decade
Honorable mention:
Blood The Last Vampire
Most Overrated Film of 2009
DISTRICT 9
I spent the first 20 minutes thinking, "This is the greatest SF film ever!" I spent the last 20 minutes thinking, "Please, please, please stop!" It went from being a smart, intelligent, witty film that seemed to be a subtle satire on apartheid to a dumb, hollow, Aliens rip-off.
Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more
Favourite UK TV Show of 2009
BEING HUMAN
Honorable mentions:
Misfits (so nearly a winner, but not quite), Torchwood (which I was loving so, so much until the quick-fix technobabble solution)
Favourite US Show of 2009
TRUE BLOOD
Honorable mentions:
Chuck, Fringe (definitely my "most improved" show of the year)
Worst TV Show of 2009
DEMONS
Honorable mentions:
Eastwick, Ghost Whisperer
Favourite Novel of 2009
TRANSITION (Iain M Banks)
I don't actually htink it's anywhere near his best, but in a year when everything else I've read has been dispiritingly average, it was still my favourite read
Personal Highlight of 2009:
My Merlin set visit to Pierrefonds in France. You really do believe you could be in Camelot when you're there. And even better when its populated by the likes of Katie McGrath, Angel Coulby and Emelia Fox (looking dead sexy in armour!).
