We caught up with creator Yasuhiro Wada to ask him about the series. How did the original idea for Harvest Moon come about? Yasuhiro Wada: I was born and grew up in the countryside, so I wanted to show the appeal of that lifestyle to other people - at the time, there was no such game that showed how good it was to live in the country, so that was one reason.
