Hi I am a late comer to fable. Its now old hat, however, I'm addicted and can't put the game away for a long periods of time. I've solved nearly everything. The thing I can't solve and no one else around me knows is... what's up with the locked door in silver pines. Its below the cabin you journey to too give an invitation to a carpenter to help the occupants in driftwood

if you've played all the fables, loved them, collect them, want to keep them forever to play for the rest of your life, stop here. if you've played both, maybe one of the fables, read on. I know it's late, i know everyone's probably played and loved etc. But i just had to say that fable is not the same way i remembered it. Credit where credit's due, thumbs up for a new fable, but if you're like me, didn't particularly care, told some friends when it was coming out maybe, and thought about getting it on an impulse, maybe a "oh fable 3!" out of nowhere, just stop. I liked it, the gameplay, the upgrades etc, but it was just too darn short. And i know that once you've completed a fable game, pretty much all the spark has gone. So if you're considering buying it, and you aren't rolling in cash to buy a collectors edition, just rent it in the summer, and spend a good week on this game.

Fable 3 is a worthy 30 dollar game.. 60 not so much.. It's an amazing example of a game that withheld content (or maybe it was just rushed..). The clothing options are weak (although the existing ones do look good). The hairstyles are also weak.. (and the hair pack you can buy is goofy hair styles) The game is short.. like you could casually finish it in 3 days. And it's easy. I'd say that while it's worth one play through it's not something that has much replay value. So.. note to Lionhead, don't waste your budget on professional actors for voice overs? and punch molynuex for me.

btw, hwoever is complaining about the minor dog and glowing trail glich, you are an idiot. to fix the floating dog issue just interact with your dog. he probably needs attention anyways. as for the glowing trail, it activates to your dog. if it dissapears, usually your dog is way behind you sniffing treasure or a dig spot, so go open the chest or dig the hole, and the trail will come back. also, if you are running after the gold trail, make sure you run in the direction the trail BEGINS, this will initiate the next move the trail makes, therefore it does not dissapear anymore. the only signifigant issue is the lack of minnimap. baisically, when you zoom on a town to look at where you should be going, you can see the town but not where you are. it is like looking at a mall map and the "you are here" dot is missing. other than that ONE isure, amasing game.

To all fellow fable lovers I have found a way to beat fable3 save all of the people and not be evil but like most things it is very, very, very difficult. To accomplish this almost but not quite immpossible task you have to find a demon door in sunset house. Now sunset house is in the cemetary near mourningwood if I'm not mistaken, in order to find run around the edge of the cemetary and you will find a gate or a path of some sort I cant seem to remember exactly which of the two it is. After you find sunset house you will possibly get attacked by hobbs once you've finished with them look to the left and around that general area you will find a demon door. Now before you go any farther to get into this demon door you MUST be King/Queen. After you get inside walk down the steps and there is a chest containing.....1,000,000 gold. Now I know thats not nearly enough to save the kingdom and not be evil but by buying lots of property and taking jobs (I recommend blacksmithing it's just easier)and be sure Not to go to thrown room when they tell you instead go do side quests or work to get more money. Also while you are King/Queen there will be a quest to find treasure in Aurora and the item you find gives you 700,000 an then there's another quest where you have to find a statue that gives you 500,000 as well but I'm almost certain that after you do that quest the darkness attacks so make sure you have the necessary funds (6,700,000 if I'm not mistaken) Well I hope that this is useful to all gamers that read this and if not I apologize for my lack of explanation in a more detailed way.

i'm pretty disapointed at the lose lose situation at the end of the game with no way to rewind the year and do something differently.

Fable 3 - Avoid the gold door in the brightwall acadamy. You only get a highwayman outfit which u can buy from a shop. 1 gold key wasted... I feel robbed. I thought all gold doors held unique stuff tut tut

And the Combat Controls are a little bit of a let down they were good in Fable II but in Fable II it's 1 button for each attack style except for aiming with range

This game already has made me happy. Too many times while staring blankly at my children, I found myself wanting to go for a walk with them through Bowerstone. Now that dream has come true! Also, on a side note, I wonder if they could make it so you can do with Fable 3 what you can with Mass Effect 2. Being that you can import your character from the previous game and get starter boots. This is only an idea, but I think it would be interesting.

@Wriggly Yeah me too, the first was great, the second...it could have been better. Hopefully Lionhead has learned their lesson.
  • Wriggly - February 12, 2010 7:09 p.m.

I'm just hoping it's more like the first than the second.
