Ruthless anime war comes to PS4 in Valkyria Chronicles Remastered this spring

Listen, I know you're probably tired of watching anime romance blossom between scenes of turn-based, third-person, World War 2 inspired tactical combat, but just give Valkyria Chronicles Remastered a chance. Sega announced that it will release the updated PS4 version of the cult classic PS3 in the Americas and Europe in spring, after it was revealed for Japan back in November.

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered runs at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second, as you'd expect from a game with "Remastered" in its title. It also adds a full complement of trophies and includes every piece of DLC for the original game: Hard EX Mode, Edy's Mission, Selvaria's Mission, and Challenge of the Edy Detachment. Sega still hasn't said whether that all-new Valkyria Chronicles PS4 game, which was also teased back in November, will similarly get a western release (unlike the Japan-only Valkyria Chronicles 3). But this is a good sign.

The first retail run of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will come in a "collectible Squad 7 Armored case" in the Americas, aesthetically inspired by the squad's trusty Edelweiss tank prototype. You'll also be able to buy it digitally on PlayStation Store, but either way it will cost $29.99 (UK price TBA).
