God of War teaser update - now it's a monsoon

As we predicted in ourprevious musings, the ring around the spartan shield is indeed filling up, acting as a countdown timer. But to what?

There have been rumours around the web this morning thanks to amagazine scanthat appears to reveal the first DLC for the game as a one-on-one fighter. We're certain the visuals will standup toa close camera angle and the fighting system could well work even when restrictedby one axis, thanks to its parry system.

But does that look anything like the teaser site? No. Check it out - first we had this:

And now we have this:

Those raindrops' concentric circles on the water's surface make the water seem much closer than it previously appeared. So this almost certainly isn't a view from the ledge that Kratos threw himself from in God of War 1.

We're only half-way through the reveal, of course - look at the shield in the top-right:

Two more segments to go and then we'll know. Our money is still on a newPSP God of War game, but it's anyone's guess. What do you think it's all about? And are you tired of rainstorm-based teaser sites? Let us know in the comments.
