World of Nintendo

6)Awww...
Yes, it's a hamster "playing" a SNES console. He's having trouble reaching the d-pad and button at the same time, but lifting a Wii remote is probably beyond him, so he'll have to do his best. He'll still be better at Mario Strikers Charged than us.

7)Darth Vader's N64
Here's how some enterprising modder brought together classic Nintendo gaming and priceless old Star Wars toys to create a TIE Fighter N64 console. Looks like a perfect fit, so if you've got the necessary bits, it'll certainly make an unusual talking point.

8)8-bit art attack
We like this stuff. They're mixed media collages based on NES. Sticking the characters on pages from old comics is a nice touch, and you can buy these examples from the creator for around $40 a pop. Or you could whip out the scissors, glue, color wash and inspiration, and try making your own.

9)Intro movie
If you've ever had a burning desire to see the static title screens from every NES game spliced into a movie and played back at 10 frames per second, it's your lucky day. It's like a historical flipbook of gaming and if you're sensitive to flashing lights it'll set you off a treat (i.e. don't look).

10)Resident Evil anniversary figures
The anniversary was actually last year, but it's taken them this long to get around to producing the second wave of horribly detailed models based on some of the most memorable nasties from the RE series. We're particularly impressed by the peeling skin and exposed skull of the zombie dog here, and the claws on the crimson-head are nicely sculpted. There's also a licker in mid-lick, with all its muscles showing, and a lab coat zombie who used to be a scientist before he got himself bit.
