Love in the aftermath of a devastating tsunami

Tackling the aftershocks of the 2004 tsunami on a matchbox scale, Thai director Aditya Assarat spends much of his underwhelming feature debut scratching around inside the minds of chambermaid Ton (Anchalee Saisoontorn) and hotel guest Na (Supphasit Kansen) in the recovering town of Takua Pa. Alas, as their fumbling, nervous romance flowers, a gang of rebel biker teens takes a dislike to the new couple.

Though the event itself is barely mentioned, the tsunami lends a haunting air to this otherwise hollow, lethargic tale, which seals its fate with a cop-out ending.
