Get an early start on Uncharted 4's multiplayer beta

The Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta has gone live a day early (unless you live in Australia or Japan, in which case it was right on time) and you can start downloading it now. That's assuming you own a copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, of course.

You may have noticed that the Nathan Drake Collection didn't come with the standard beta code. Instead, you'll need to navigate over to the Nathan Drake Collection's "Overview" (that's the stuff that shows up underneath the main game tile) and select the beta tile to start the 7GB download. You'll need "valid application save data" from the game to access the beta, so you may want to load the Nathan Drake Collection up first if you haven't done so yet.

You'll be able to play all the way through December 13, with the usual breaks for server maintenance and patches. Once you get the download going, make sure to read up on how all the Uncharted 4's Mysticals and Sidekicks work. You wouldn't want to get killed by statue ghosts and berserker NPCs before you know the proper counterattack.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
