Ah, what a classic, and a rare example of what you could claim is a comedy cliffhanger. After the traumatic events in "Shock Theater” Sam leaps an rematerialises somewhere else, as usual. Holographic Al’s there, waiting. Everything seems normal. Well, normal for Quantum Leap. But then Al tries to walk through a cannon (as a hologram, it‘s the kind of thing he does all the time)… and bumps into it. Sam, though, has gone intangible. They’ve swapped places. Oh boy, indeed.
