It’s a concept with bite. The vagina dentata myth updated to a modern-day Texas full of Christian purity pledges that make vaginas no-go areas.

Star of the local virgin brigade is Dawn (Jess Weixler) – sweet on the outside, molars in her… She’s got nookie nerves, but you just can’t keep teen hormones down and hot new boy Tobey (Hale Appleman) is giving her the eye.

Teeth is a high gasp B-movie, cheap looking but packing in enough severed appendages and smarts to make men cross their legs and scorned women smile. Anything else to it? Director Mitchell Lichtenstein seems to think so, but like his artist dad Roy’s paintings, Teeth is great shock impact, precious little to chew on.
