Star Wars Celebration fan event names London date and chance to win tickets

UK-based Star Wars fan, and can’t quite afford the air fare to get yourself out to Anaheim for Star Wars Celebration? We’ve got some good news for you then, with the announcement of a London date for the official fan event.

Billed as “the ultimate Star Wars fan experience”, the main event will take place in California on 16 April with a panel set to be hosted by J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy. Happily, that panel will be simulcast as part of a live event at London’s Empire Cinema, Leicester Square, meaning UK fans won’t be left out of the fun.

The event will take place in the Empire’s vast IMAX screen, with tickets available exclusively to competition winners. Entry details are set to be announced shortly, so keep an eye on the Star Wars Facebook and Twitter feeds for your chance to secure a spot.

Directed by J.J. Abrams and co-starring Adam Driver, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will open in the UK and US on 18 December 2015, with the next full trailer set to play before Avengers: Age Of Ultron…
