Sketch Nations Shooter turns paper doodles into digital shooters

Remember drawing tanks and ninjas and ninjas with rocket launchers riding on tanks made of dinosaurs, and then pitting them against each other with dotted lines and scribble explosions? Oh childhood. Well, if you have an iPhone and 99 cents, you can nowplay the same game the"adult" way -by using expensive technology.

Sketch Nations Shooter, released on the AppStore yesterday, allows players to photograph drawings with the iPhone (or import them from the iPod Touch's photo library), and build top-down shooters out of them. The game's photo processing automatically draws collision boundaries.

We don't know if it's any good, but it's a mighty cool idea, and it might be worth the 99 cents just to draw a penis that shoots sperm-bullets at Glenn Beck's face (note that creations can be shared with other players!). Hey, it's one way to get around Apple's adult content policy.
