Mickey Rourke becomes The Ice Man

Mickey Rourke

Mickey Rourke has just added another mean mofo to his list of mean movie mofos – he’s signed on to star in the biopic of infamous contract killer Richard ‘The Ice Man’ Kuklinski.

The Ice Man: Confessions Of A Mafia Contract Killer
is currently being adapted by David American History X McKenna from the book by Philip Carlo.

Kuklinski is considered one of the most notorious and deadly killers to have ever lived. A family man at heart, he admitted to killing 250+ people in his time while carrying out jobs for crime conclaves in New Jersey and New York.

“This is a role Mickey Rourke was born to play and, as a huge fan of David McKenna’s work, I am thrilled to have him on board,” producer Matty Beckerman told Variety .

For those still mourning the ending of The Sopranos , this should fill the void of family-oriented crime epics. And then some.
