The cast for John Landis’ new film already includes the top-notch likes of Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis (as the titular duo), and Isla Fisher and Tom Wilkinson.
Well, it’s just gotten even better, with a flock of new talent descending on the production.
"Who?" we hear you cry. Only the inimitable Christopher Lee and Tim Curry!
The latter has been contributing his dulcet tones to a raft of animated fare for the past decade or so. Perhaps the last time we actually enjoyed him on the big screen was in 2004's Kinsey (we’re not counting his great TV work in Alice and The Colour of Magic ).
Meanwhile, Lee can be seen as the fearsome Jabberwock in this year’s rendering of Alice in Wonderland .
Principal photography on Burke and Hare began at the end of January, with shooting locations including London, Edinburgh and Ealing Studios.
Landis calls the flick “a very black romantic comedy in the classic tradition of the Ealing Studios’ Kind Hearts and Coronets and The Ladykillers ”.

Burke and Hare is a comedic take on the true story of the 1828 Edinburgh body-snatchers William Burke (Simon Pegg) and William Hare (Andy Serkis).
These two Irish entrepreneurs discover that a dead body can fetch a hefty price when the demands of the leading medical professors Dr. Knox (Tom Wilkinson) and Dr. Monroe (Tim Curry) reach beyond that of the local supply.
Other new additions to the cast include Jessica Hynes, Bill Bailey, Reece Shearsmith, Ronnie Corbett, Hugh Bonneville, David Schofield,Allan Corduner and Michael Smiley.
