Jeffrey Dean Morgan visits The Fields

Ami Canaan Mann’s The Fields is quickly turning into the project to watch come 2012.

Not only has Mann managed to sign Sam Worthington in her moody murder mystery, she’s also just drafted Jeffrey Dean Morgan to play a cop. And not a moment too soon, as shooting is set to commence in Louisiana in April.

Worthington has taken on the role of a Texas detective assigned to investigate murders in his area. Meanwhile, Morgan’s New York cop turns up to give him a hand. Together, the pair attempt to collar the ones responsible for the killings.

The film's being produced by Mann's father, director Michael Mann.

Morgan was last seen in Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock , and will be appearing this year in romantic drama All Good Things and action flick The Losers , which has been shoved back to an April release.
